Government & Municipal Fleets
Know exactly who fueled what, when, and how much. Replace paper logs with a complete digital audit trail — without replacing your existing tanks or dispensers.
Common challenges
The accountability gap in public sector fueling
Paper logs are unreliable
Manual fueling logs are easy to skip, alter, or lose. They provide no real-time visibility and are difficult to audit.
No driver-level accountability
Without authorization controls, it's difficult to know which employee or vehicle received fuel at any given time.
Unauthorized fuel use
Open access to fuel yards creates opportunity for unauthorized fueling — by personnel, contractors, or outside parties.
Department reporting is manual
Producing fuel usage reports by department, vehicle class, or time period requires manual data collection and spreadsheet work.
Multi-site visibility
Operations with multiple fuel sites have no unified view of fuel usage across locations.
Odometer & hour tracking
Capturing odometer or hour readings at fueling requires a system — not a clipboard.
Authorization
Only authorized drivers and vehicles can fuel
The Spartan Sentry Quattro requires authorization before dispensing fuel. Drivers can authorize using the Spartan Shield mobile app, or — for shared fleet yards — using the optional touchscreen directly on the unit. No phone required with the touchscreen configuration.
Every transaction captures the driver, vehicle, date, time, quantity, and odometer or hour reading. The data goes directly to the Fleet Spartan Portal.
Reporting & audit trail
Audit-ready records, always available
The Fleet Spartan Portal gives administrators access to complete transaction history — filterable by driver, vehicle, department, date range, and location. No spreadsheets required.
Multi-site operations can manage all locations from a single Portal account, with visibility into fuel usage across the entire fleet.
Recommended for government fleets
Spartan Sentry Quattro
The Quattro's optional touchscreen authorization is well-suited for shared fleet yards where drivers may not all have smartphones. AC powered, up to 4 pumps, controller backup power, and cellular connectivity.
Common questions
Government fleet FAQ
Do drivers need smartphones to authorize fueling?
Not with the Quattro touchscreen configuration. The optional touchscreen allows drivers to authorize directly at the unit without a phone. The Spartan Shield app can still be used if preferred.
Can we manage multiple fuel sites from one account?
Yes. The Fleet Spartan Portal supports multi-site management, giving administrators a unified view of fuel usage across all locations.
Does Fleet Spartan work with our existing tanks and dispensers?
In many cases, yes. Fleet Spartan systems work with a wide variety of tanks, pumps, and dispensers — including both older and modern equipment. In many installations, Fleet Spartan can be added to existing fueling infrastructure without replacing the equipment already in place.
What data is captured per transaction?
Each transaction records the driver, vehicle, date, time, quantity dispensed, and odometer or hour reading (when entered). All data is accessible in the Portal.
